StudyCurrentIndependent electrical learning

About

Most people learning this trade end up stitching together a college course that covers more than they need, a handful of videos of wildly uneven quality, and whatever they can pick up on site from whoever happens to be free.

StudyCurrent exists to do two specific things properly rather than everything badly: explain the science so it can actually be used, and give somewhere to practise diagnosis where a wrong decision costs nothing.

What it is

Written electrical science with worked examples where every step is shown, because the step people get stuck on is almost never the concept — it is the transposition in the middle. Each module ends with a scored test that tells you which topic you are weak on, not just a mark.

Fault-finding practice is planned as an interactive learning feature. Scenario readings, diagnostic recommendations and safety feedback remain withheld until competent-person review.

What it is not

It is not a qualification and it is not an awarding organisation. It is not affiliated with or endorsed by City & Guilds or anyone else. It does not reproduce any awarding body's questions, handouts or copyrighted material — every word is written for this product.

It is not a substitute for supervised practical training, assessment, or competent instruction. A simulator is a learning exercise only; it does not prepare or authorise anyone to work on a real installation.

How we handle safety-critical content

Internal content checks are not a substitute for competent-person technical approval. Electrical teaching, scenario readings and safety recommendations remain withheld or clearly marked for technical review until the relevant content has been reviewed. Nothing here replaces current authoritative sources, supervised practical training or your own legal duties.
