StudyCurrentIndependent electrical learning

Questions, answered straight

+Is this an official City & Guilds product?

No. This is an independent revision and reference resource. It is not an official City & Guilds product, it is not a qualification, and it is not affiliated with or endorsed by City & Guilds or any other awarding organisation.

The explanations are independently written. Some practice exercises are inspired by standard electrical-science learning objectives; no awarding-body question bank or examination paper is used.

+Will this get me a qualification?

No, and anyone telling you a study product can is selling you something else. Qualifications are awarded by awarding organisations through approved centres, with assessment you have to sit.

What this does is help you understand the science well enough to use it, and give you somewhere to practise diagnostic decision-making without a customer waiting.

+What is included in fault-finding practice?

Fault-finding practice is part of the planned product. Technical review of the current course content is complete, but sales remain closed while separate launch checks are completed.

The public demo shows only a generic interaction flow and is not electrical work guidance.

+Do I have to finish it in a certain time?

No subscription is described. The exact duration and access terms remain subject to the final approved Terms before checkout opens.

+Can I use it on my phone on site?

Yes. It is a web application, so it works in any modern browser on a phone, tablet or computer, and your progress follows you between devices because it is stored against your account, not on the device.

+How do I get back in if I clear my cookies or change phone?

The app uses email sign-in links, but email delivery is not configured yet. The Login page will say clearly when no email was sent. Checkout stays closed until this is ready.

+Is the course emailed to me as a PDF?

No, and deliberately so. The course, the tests, the simulator and your progress live in your account. An attachment cannot track your scores, cannot be updated when content improves, and gets lost in an inbox.

The formula reference is openly viewable, but is currently labelled as pending technical review.

+Are the instrument readings in the simulator real?

Scenario readings, decision feedback and safety wording require competent-person review before they are described as approved product content.

The simulator is not guidance for live work or a substitute for supervised practical training.

+Can I get a refund?

Your statutory rights under UK consumer law apply in full and we do not try to exclude them. Because this is digital content that you asked to start immediately, the 14-day change-of-mind right ends once access has started — that is set out in law and you confirm you understand it at checkout.

Separately from that, if the content is faulty, not as described, or does not conform to the contract, you have statutory remedies and we will honour them. The Refund Policy page sets all of this out properly.

+What happens to my account if I get a refund?

Access to the refunded product ends. Your account stays open, and any other product you hold is unaffected. Your order and refund records are kept.

+Who is this for?

Apprentices working through electrical science who want the theory to make sense rather than be memorised, improvers and mates who can do the job but want to be quicker and more systematic at diagnosis, and qualified electricians refreshing the underpinning knowledge.

+Can I do the work shown in the scenarios?

Only within your level of training, competence and authorisation, and under the supervision your employer, training provider and the law require. Working on electrical installations carries real risk of injury and death.

A simulator is a learning exercise, not a safe-work method or permission to carry out practical work. It cannot remove the risks of a real installation.
