Cookie and device-storage policy

StudyCurrent does not intentionally use analytics, advertising pixels, behavioural tracking or social-media tracking for launch. The inventory below is based on current app code. A SumUp hosted checkout is a separate service and may set its own storage under SumUp’s notice; StudyCurrent has not yet verified its exact cookie names or retention.

Storage used on StudyCurrent pages

• eth_session

  First-party HttpOnly Secure cookie

  Purpose: Maintains an authenticated StudyCurrent session; access is checked against current entitlements.

  Duration: Up to 12 months or until sign-out

  First/third party: First party.

  Strictly necessary: Intended to be strictly necessary for the requested signed-in service; confirm classification before release

  Treatment: No optional analytics/advertising consent is used for this cookie

• eth_pending

  First-party HttpOnly Secure cookie

  Purpose: Links the current browser session to a pending order/payment return.

  Duration: Up to 6 hours or cleared after the return

  First/third party: First party.

  Strictly necessary: Intended to be strictly necessary for requested checkout completion; confirm classification before release

  Treatment: No optional analytics/advertising consent is used for this cookie

Not used by the current learner reader

The module reader no longer writes a last-read position to local storage. Current StudyCurrent routes do not persist campaign attribution in session storage. A private owner-test cookie is limited to owner tools and is not issued as part of a customer session.

SumUp hosted payment

When a payment is enabled, you will leave StudyCurrent for SumUp’s hosted checkout. SumUp controls its own device storage on that page. Its exact cookie/storage inventory and notice link must be verified and added here before payment is activated.

Managing storage

You can block or clear cookies in your browser. Blocking session cookies can prevent sign-in or a payment return from working. No non-essential tracking choice is needed because none is intentionally active.
